New retail space in WMC

From 1st September, The Makers Guild in Wales are moving out of the existing unit within the Wales Millennium Centre and are re-locating to another area in the Glanfa of WMC.
The Makers Guild in Wales and Wales Millennium Centre will be building on our already successful partnership by exhibiting in the new space which will be open to the public everyday (see WMC opening hours on their website), we will also be staffing the new unit for key performances in Wales Millennium Centre.
As Wales Milennium Centre attracts more than 1.5 million visitors each year we hope that this new exhibition will be even more successful than the last and will allow even more new customers and audiences to see and buy more high quality craft and applied art within their building.

The reason for the move is in order for the re-location of the Tourist Information Centre whilst Cardiff Council relocate and refurbish the tube in Cardiff Bay.

As usual you can see even more work by members of the Guild on display just across the road in our successful gallery at Craft in the Bay.

The artists who will sell their work here include Ann Catrin Evans (Ironwork, who designed the Centre’s door furniture and Siwrnai, the piece of art hanging in the Glanfa), Melissa Warren (Textile Knitter), Bill Swann (Glassmaker), Selwyn Gale (Jeweller), Mari Thomas (Jeweller) , Anne Morgan (Jeweller), Laura Thomas (Weaver), Claire Cawte (Feltmaker), Emma-Kate Francis (Sliversmith and Jeweller), Penny Sheard (Leatherworker), Mandy Nash (Jewellery), Sara Lloyd Morris (Jeweller), Susan Smith (Embroidery), Suzie Horan (Jewellery) Ruth Shelley (Glassmaker).wmc.jpg
